Island Oven Sweet & Spicy Beef

3 pounds stewing beef, cut into ¾” cubes
1 medium onion cut into chunks or wedges
1 small onion sliced
1 small tin tomato paste
¼ tsp. black pepper
¾ cup Nature Isle Spicy Caribbean BBQ Sauce
16 oz orange juice (sweet)
2 tbls. Soy sauce
½ tsp clove powder
½ tsp ground ginger
1 medium clover garlic, crushed
1 small cabbage, chunked
2 small salad peppers, red and green
1 celery stalk, chopped
1 large tomato, seeded and chopped
1 cup water



Marinate meat for at least 3 hours in salt, black pepper, sliced onion. Brown meat and onion chunks in a casserole. Dissolve tomato paste in water. Add Nature Isle Spicy Barbecue Sauce, soy sauce, clove powder, ground ginger, garlic and orange juice. Pour over browned meat and bake for 2 hours at 375º. Cook cabbage and peppers in boiling water until tender. Add to beef together with celery and tomatoes. Cook for about ten more minutes.
